Macomb Food Co-op Steering Committee Meeting Minutes
April 3, 2012
City Hall Community Room
Present: Karen Peitzmeier, Gordon Rands, Pam Rands, Brian Davies, Erin Orwig, Jean Davenport, Margaret Ovitt.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Karen Peitzmeier, who chaired this meeting. Minutes for the March 6 meeting were accepted without correction.

Communications (Gordon Rands):
Gordon presented an Activity List (not available for these minutes)
Owner drive (Jean):
Jean had a hand-out about the house parties. Karen volunteered to function as a “trainer” at the next steering committee meeting, as a way of teaching the Board members how to do this task. Margaret suggested a house party at her house on April 20.
Events (Margaret Ovitt):
Minutes of a March 22 meeting were distributed. There will be a table at the Environmental Summit on the WIU campus on April 4, and a presence at the GreenFest on April 21. A “Games Night” is planned for April 27th, with a $1 entry fee and 1/3 of the proceeds of a raffle to the winner.
The steering committee sought approval from the Board members present (6) for $100 to the owner drive committee for these events. Karen so moved, Gordon seconded, and there were 6 ayes. The motion passed.
Finance (Pam Rands):
We have sold 140 shares to 101 owners. Pam will get quotes for some software, QuickBooks, in order to keep the co-op’s financial records.
