Macomb Food Co-op Steering Committee Meeting Minutes
April 17, 2012
Peitzmeier residence
Present: Karen Peitzmeier, Gordon Rands, Pam Rands, Brian Davies, Krista Bowers-Sharpe, Erin Orwig, Jean Davenport, Margaret Ovitt, and Dusty Berg. Sean Genovese was present as an observer.
The meeting consisted of a simulation of a house party. Food was brought by participants and after sampling that, Karen gave a presentation to the “guests” who were in fact the Board members.
Only a few items of business were discussed.
The entire Board was present, so when Pam requested approval to purchase some software, QuickBooks, in order to keep the co-op’s financial records, all but one Board member voted to approve the expenditure.
Margaret announced a house party at her residence on April 20. Game night is still planned for April 27 in the Georgetown clubhouse. Kym Miller will have a house party on April 29.
A conference call with Bill Gessner was scheduled for April 24 in a conference room on campus.
Karen mentioned the desire to send a person to the CCMA conference in Philadelphia. Brian mentioned his interest, and then Gordon suggested that Karen go instead. No budget was presented, and no vote was taken, so the matter will need to be discussed at the next meeting.
The steering committee meeting was then adjourned.
